Weeke Barton is home grown glamour with retro moments on wild and wuthering Dartmoor. Already 500 years since the first stone was laid, we have given this most gorgeous of Dartmoor long houses a touch of style within its gracefully ageing skin.
All rooms have natural stone ensuite bathrooms, the lounge has low sofas and cow skins with a roaring fire, the bar is snug and old skool cool and food is had over a three metre slate topped table.
Plenty of space to wander and chill in the wild but kept gardens with views to the second star on the right and on till morning! Delicious locally sourced, freshly prepared food. Our own pigs, Sarah’s flocks eggs, over the hill deer and game.
Weeke Barton is set in the Teign Valley. An amazing spot for so much. Walks from the door, bike trails, fishing, canoeing, wild swimming, rock climbing, horse riding, and golf.
You can sit still and chill, listen to the birds and the wind, or you can get up until your boots are full.
We want this plot to be here in another five hundred years, to help that along we have installed a biomass boiler. We use only lovely local sustainable wood so no more gas and oil. We also have our own waste managment system, nice.
